The sign at the Hollister Store Epic store in SoHo Wednesday said it was closed for maintenance. The real culprit? Bedbugs.A spokesman for Hollister, an Abercrombie & Fitch company that sells clothes popular with teenagers, confirmed the infestation. The bedbugs, he said, were "affecting certain isolated areas of the store. Our primary concern in any situation of this nature is our customers and associates. We are taking all necessary steps to eradicate the problem as soon as possible, and expect the store to reopen shortly."
The 40,000-square-foot flagship store opened last July, its entry flanked by two statuesque male greeters, often shirtless. On Wednesday, Hollister Store Sylvia Mak of Brooklyn saw the sign saying the store was closed and was confused. She and her two daughters, ages 12 and 13, had planned a shopping spree. They'd wanted to spend $70, or more, on shirts.
"We're very disappointed," said Ms. Mak of the closing.
Adela Giraldo of Jackson Heights had made a trip with her son to the store and planned to spend about $200. An employee told her the store would open again on "Thursday or Friday."
Hollister Coupons Infestations in commercial buildings are typically handled privately and don't need to be reported to the city. A spokeswoman for the city's Department of Health said bedbugs "do not present a health risk or spread disease."
Still, bedbugs aren't something consumers expect to bring home with their new clothes, and an expert on torts law said, hypothetically, consumers who had made recent purchases and then discover bedbugs could have a case.
"Technically it's a breach of warranty of merchantability," said Michael M. Martin, Hollister Shorts a professor at Fordham University School of Law. "They are defective because they don't meet consumer expectation. The usual remedy for that, first of all you can get price back and, second, you might well be able to recover for the consequential injuries. I'd be willing to take that case."

Hollister City, Hollister Dresses, Hollister Store
On Monday, January 7, 2013, the Hollister City Council unanimously and enthusiastically voted to bring back the world renowned Fourth of July motorcycle rally for the 2013 season. The reborn event, which has been on hold since 2009, is set to take place on July 5 & 6, 2013.
The American Biker image was born in Hollister Fourth of July weekend in 1947 when a group of rowdy bikers in town for the annual Gypsy Tour event reportedly terrorized the town. The story was picked up by Life magazine who published the iconic photo of a drunken biker sprawled on his bike amid a sea of beer bottles. The exaggeration was further sensationalized in the Marlon Brando pic “The Wild

It's party time in Hollister again! The Hollister City Council voted to bring back the popular motorcycle rally, held annually for years over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
One.”
The image stuck and has become an icon of Americana that lives to this day.
After “The Invasion of Hollister”, the annual Gypsy Tour event went dormant for decades. In preparation for the 50th anniversary of the historic event, Sonny Barger presented the idea of a rebirth to the city of Hollister and local business people. It took a lot of effort by many people, but it didn’t take long for the Hollister Independence Day Rally to became the largest Motorcycle Rally on the West Coast.
Unfortunately, due to the excessive financial risk, the City of Hollister put the official Hollister Rally on hold in 2009. During that time, local supporters like Mike Corbin (Corbin saddles) continued to keep the spirit alive and welcomed riders to town with their own private events over the weekend. Meanwhile large numbers of supporters were working to bring back the official event. Hollister Dresses Those efforts paid off on January 7th 2013 with the official nod from the City Council to sanction an event.
Worldwide Dynamics Inc. presented a proposal to the city and has been named the rally management company. An active member of the Motorcycle Industry Council, Worldwide Dynamics is well known in the industry for organizing vendors and sponsors at Leesburg Bikefest, Laconia, Sturgis, and at Bikes, Blues and BBQ.
Attendees can expect motorcycle-only parking filling downtown Hollister with side streets devoted to a wide variety of rally vendors. Two large entertainment areas downtown will offer live entertainment and local beer gardens. On Saturday, center lane parking on the main drag will be occupied by the official bike show which is a part of the World Championship of Bike Building. Motorcycle manufacturers will be in attendance at multiple locations offering demo rides.
Riders will receive an enthusiastic welcome back from local businesses, eateries and taverns for this annual town highlight. Around the area there is excellent scenic riding, wine tours and a summer concert series at a local vineyard’s outdoor amphitheater. Naturally Mike Corbin will be hosting his annual Rider Appreciation Day at the Corbin factory on the north side of town as well.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the multitudes of people who have come together to restore the Hollister Rally dream. From the thousands of riders who continued to come to town every Fourth of July to the local community whose high spirits and enthusiasm brought about this return.
Special thanks to:
Dave Westrick & Carlos Reynoso of the Hollister PD who presented the working budget for public services and received a standing ovation for their efforts Hollister Store.
Mark Cresswell and Clint Quilter for their vision and creating a rally proposal that works
for everyone.

Abercrombie, Hollister Shirt for Women, Hollister Hoodies
Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) is an apparel and lifestyle brand operating mainly in the United States, with expanding branches and stores in both Europe and China. Abercrombie is one of the leading specialty retailers of premium casual apparel in the U.S. The company has a strong portfolio of well-established brands.
The fact that ANF has recently hired Goldman Sachs as an advisor, following pressure from activist investor Relational Capital, is positive for the shares after several years of disappointing results. If ANF were to be bought out in a LBO at the mean Enterprise Value/LTM EBITDA multiple of the last four relevant transaction in the space, which was 0.975x, it would imply a share price of $53.
I am positive of ANF recent product launches. Hollister Shirt for Women The company has been manufacturing yoga apparel and shifting its focus from tops to more denim products. These changes could help the company gain shares from competitors like the American Eagle (AEO), Ralph Lauren (RL) or The Gap (GPS). Working under brand names of Hollister, Gilly Hicks, Abercrombie Kids, and Abercrombie and Fitch, A&F already has 1,045 stores operating in North America, Asia, and Europe.
I find very interesting the international expansion strategy that ANF is pursuing. In Europe, the company's key area of international expansion still moves forward as ANF reported a solid revenue growth of 85%. Hollister Shirt for Women brand continues to report strong sales as it covers two-thirds of the company's business in the continent. The company is also expanding in Aisa. A&F is building its third mall-based store in China, as Chinese customers learn to familiarize themselves with the products of the company. Abercrombie plans to open five Abercrombie & Fitch stores in flagship locations including Hamburg, Hong Kong, Munich, Dublin and Amsterdam as well as an Abercrombie kids store in London. In addition, the company plans to open about 40 international Hollister stores in fiscal 2012.
Abercrombie does not simply go head to head against its closest competitor, the American Eagle. Hollister Hoodies Its completely separate chain, Hollister, offers products that are of the same level of pricing with AEO. This makes the competition more like AEO vs. Hollister rather than AEO vs. A&F. Abercrombie generates internal allies, referring to its four separate chains, to prevent cost-cutting just to catch up with competitors, and more importantly, to boost its revenues and net income. In the face of economic challenges, where teenagers have become less active shoppers, Abercrombie has restructured its business and I expect that investors will appreciate those results in the coming quarters. The company has closed its underperforming U.S. chain stores and speeding up growth at its Abercrombie Kids and Hollister store concepts.
